What are Veneers?
Four Seasons Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Plymouth, MN veneers are a thin layer of Composite (Tooth-Colored Veneer) or Porcelain material placed over a tooth, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth or to protect the tooth’s surface from damage. Veneers can help you achieve a desired change of shape, shade, and position to dramatically transform the look and feel of your teeth and improve your smile.
A Composite (Tooth-Colored Veneer) may be directly placed (i.e built-up in the mouth), or indirectly fabricated by our team of professionals, and later bonded to the tooth, typically using a resin cement. In contrast, a Porcelain veneer may only be indirectly fabricated by an outside lab and then later bonded to the tooth using a resin cement.
Why Should I Get Veneers?
Do you have small teeth which results in spaces that may not be easily closed by orthodontics? Have you worn away the edges of your teeth, which can result in a prematurely aged appearance? Do you have crooked teeth that effects your smile?.
If you answered yes to any of these questions then Veneers may be right for you. Multiple veneers can close spaces, lengthen teeth that have been shortened by wear, fill the black triangles between teeth caused by gum recession, provide a uniform color, shape, and symmetry, and make the teeth appear straight.
